1 Who We Are
Elmistr is an educational tracking application that connects parents with private tutors and teachers. Teachers log session details — attendance, behavior, homework, and quiz results — and parents receive real-time visibility into their children's progress.

2 Information We Collect
Account Information: Name, phone number, email address, and hashed password when you register as a teacher or parent.
Student Information: Student name, grade level, phone number, and parent contact — entered by teachers or parents.
Session Data: Attendance records, behavior notes, homework status, quiz grades, and any images uploaded during a session.
Subscription & Payment Data: Plan details and payment transaction identifiers. We do not store full card numbers.
Device & Usage Data: FCM device tokens for push notifications, app version, and basic logs for security and diagnostics.
3 How We Use Your Information
To provide, operate, and improve the Elmistr app and its features.
To send real-time session reports and push notifications to parents.
To manage your subscription and process payments.
To verify your identity, maintain security, and prevent fraud.
To send one-time password (OTP) codes for account verification and password reset via email or SMS.
To respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to any third party.
4 Data Sharing
Between Users: Teachers see profiles and contact details for students they manage. Parents see session reports for their own children only.
Service Providers: We work with trusted providers for hosting, email delivery, SMS, and push notifications. They access data only to deliver those services and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
Payment Processors: We share only the minimum data required to process your payment transactions securely.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by Egyptian law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
5 Data Security
We protect your data using:
HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
Hashed and salted passwords — plain-text passwords are never stored.
JWT-based authentication with token expiration.
Role-based access controls so each user sees only their own data.
No system is completely secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@elmistr.com.
6 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
7 Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.
Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.

8 Children's Privacy
Elmistr does not allow children to create accounts directly. Student profiles are created and managed by teachers or parents who are responsible for obtaining any necessary parental consent before entering a child's information into the App.
If you believe a child's information was entered without authorization, contact us at support@elmistr.com and we will investigate and remove the data promptly.
9 Push Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications about session updates, subscription status, and enrollment requests. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of Elmistr after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
